This is the legendary third-shift regular turned employee. Once known as "the Coffee Guy," he once drank ten cups of coffee in just over two hours. His night record is eleven. This is where I stop talking in third person and say, "hey, it's William."

Hopefullly Not the Final Farewell...
Hey Everybody:

I just wanted to tell you all that I am so sorry for not saying, "Good-bye" to everyone. It's been a ton of fun getting to know you all...through the good and the bad. It was hard leaving knowing that, for the past year, I practically lived out of the Diner. Whenever I was free, I was there and then I was leaving for the last time. Hopefully, it will not be the last time ever. As you all know, it was necessary for me to go. Leaving Mike was the best decision I have ever made, but it led to difficulties...such as finding a place to live. I am doing well back here in the Philly area with my family. Don't worry about me, but keep in touch...my number IS in the book.

I miss you all! I love you all!

Always and forever,
Hollie Lynn

so. I want to know which second shift employee got mugged, and how and when and where and all of those questions they teach you to ask in journalism. and I want to know that all the third shift employees are safe . . . because somehow I think it's more dangerous walking home at 4 or 6 in the morning than like 10 at night. I mean, well yeah, ok, so *someone* set fire to some campus building or something. and *someone* went around vandalizing churches. (t-t-t-Terrorist! Anarchist! Ninja! Guys!) and apparently someone got shot behind the diner. but state college is a safe place, no? full of rampant, raging drunken frat boys, right? but seriously, does anyone know what happened?

For those who don't know yet
I go to pick up the Wonderful Mr. Ryan Sabo at the Newark airport on Friday, July 29th. After we "shack up" for a few days (his words, not mine... isn't he romantic?), and we go visit his family, he will return to the State College area. Once we get moved into the apartment (that I will hopefully find today... cross your fingers), we will throw a housewarming party (whether he likes it or not). Obviously, you are all invited. I'll keep you posted.

hello diner employees! it's becky. so, mike and I *had* a xanga, but it's been disappeared, and we only just moved to livejournal. we're very lonely here and we would like some friends. so be friends with us. (please?) I miss everyone, and I can't wait for the semester to start, if only because it means nightly battles with Bastardy Cooks, threats about getting 86ed for eating, and dealing with embarassingly intoxicated alums who Can't Let Go of the fact that they, like 1 in 6 college graduates in the country, attended penn state.

see everyone soon.

My Arts Fest Sentiments...
To all my Diner lovelies (especially Barry & Becky): I love you.

To the wonderful customers who provided emotional encouragement: You are amazing.

To all the winey-ass, cunt-faced, narrowminded pieces of goddamned horse-shit that should count themselves blessed for not having their omlettes shat in or their Pepsi's pissed in: Fuck you.

(Keep in touch -- IM me at mercutiobp, I'm usually on all day at work. Elsewise, I will see you in September!)

For those who care, a Sabo update
I talked to Mr. Ryan Sabo this morning at around 3am. He said that they've been catching a lot of fish, but there's a limit as to how much each boat can take to the cannery. (Did I ever tell anyone that the cannery caught on fire last week? Yeah, that sucks.) The water is really rough and dangerous because it's been really stormy and windy lately (just what the girlfriend likes to hear), but everything is going fine.

If anyone wants/needs to tell him something (ahem, Barry), the information would be much likelier to get to him if you either tell me so that I can tell him or write him a letter. I can give you his address. I think he may have checked his voicemail once since he's been there, and now that he's fishing I doubt he'll check it again until he gets back.

Every time he calls, he says to tell everyone at the Diner hello. So, hello from Ryan, Diner people.

And now, I feel my obligation to keep people informed has been fulfilled.

wow...closed monday and tuesday overnights. This is cutting into my doin' stuff time way too much. Kind of sad that not having your work be open can stop you from doing the things you know and love. Also...SOMEONE who was my waitstaff this morning was a bitch.

Im being warey of who I accept invitations from to stay the night or longer. Not because Im picky, but because I know myself. If I go somewhere and stay there for more then one day, I know I will consider that place open and will take full advantage of the hospitality I am offered. If I say I dont want to stay with you it is not because of some sort of personal thing. I just want to keep myself from turning it into a habbit.

if morgan gets the job tomorrow, Ill be gone in 2 weeks! Be happy for me! But dont worry. I wouldnt miss Arts fest, with our little family back together with all the new adopted children, for the world. But dont tell them their adopted...lets wait till they're older.

...see ya later space cowboy

Does anyone else think that it's sad that I have a running list of clothes that I can't wear to the Diner because bad things happen when I wear them? I have a "touch me" shirt and a "squeeze me" shirt, both of which have been blacklisted.

I say we post signs that say "If you touch the waitress, she WILL pour hot coffee on your genitalia. We WILL hold you down to do this if necessary. You have been warned."

I actually had a waitstaff shift last night! It's been a while since I've been anything other than an MD. I really missed actually making money.

Also, I had a weird dream last night and the main character was William. I miss his flamboyant yet heterosexual ass. Hope he's having fun in Berkley.

On as MD tonight... *sigh* Monday night MDing is no fun. Poor Robin. I'm going to have her clean her ass off! Ha ha! Of course, I'm going to be cleaning to, but I'm not getting paid $2 for it.

Ok, time to go get my weekly does of sunlight.

For Barry...
I told Ryan about this today at lunch, and he says that you're a big dork. And that he'll miss you. I will do my best to not be a crybaby at work tonight, but I'm not making any promises. On the upside, I have his permission to call him as many times from work tonight as I want. Perhaps we can make pests of ourselves. :-)

I've decided I don't like being called Beth P.

Someone give me a new nickname. I tried Frankie a couple months ago, but that never took off.

Honestly, Beth P feels so impersonal. And I'm a terribly personable person.

Just started this community. Hope it'll take off.

So, what I really want to know is... who's idea was it to put a ping pong table in the back??!
